G'Day,

HEY BATMAN...CHECK THIS OUT - This is how Zen used to describe the MUT on their website. It caught my attention immediately as I am quite a Batman fan.

And with this awesome tool we get a Molle sheath. Not a bad sheath, but it is not Leather. And, we all know all Superheroes must have a Quality Leather Pouch to store their tools in. Leatherman spoilt us with the Wave Sheaths, IMHO the best OEM sheath ever made by Leatherman.

Enter MT.O member Gohard from Down Under, with probably the coolest animal avatar here. He offered to make me a Leather pouch worthy of a Super-Hero. I sent him the dimensions of the tool and he got to work his magic. I got the choice of leather colour and stitching colour and any lettering that should be on the pouch. Well being Batman and all, it had to black but I did not want yellow stitching and settled for white. And lastly "Batman" in caps on the top.

The pouch arrived today!!! And what a pouch it is. The Leather is nice and thick, but soft and supple. Shiny press stud in front and a sewn and studded belt clip on the back. He also added a loop for a tool extender / adaptor on the side. Needless to say the MUT fits in perfectly. These is no play side to side on up/down. I removed the clip on the MUT a while ago,  and that makes it much easier to fit into any pouch. It fits on my work belt and home belt easy and sits nice and snug. Apart from the tool weight, it is hardly noticeable.

I can comfortably say this pouch will outlast me!!! If you want a quality pouch that will live as long as you or longer, speak to this man!!!

Thank you VERY MUCH Gohard for the pouch. It will be on my side in the train yard from Thursday onward.

I might have to have a word with the Zen marketing team though....I'm fairly sure Batman is fairly famous for not using guns. I suspect the MUT would be the least likely LM for him to Want/Envy  :facepalm:

Thanks, I do like the sheath, and it is very comfy to carry.

I think they used Batman because it is the coolest looking Leatherman for the Coolest Superhero!!!  ;)

It is holding up very well. At the moment I am doing a Signal challenge so I have not used it for the last three weeks. The Signal is also in a Gohard pouch and it is getting nice and soft. I am planning to do a write-up at the end of the 31 days for the tool as well as the pouch. The Signal pouch is slowly getting some character, something I don't think the Batman pouch will develop due to being black.
