Lanyards, fobs, hangers

In the thread about - keyrings, like or not-  many mentioned lanyards and pocket hangers- how about emergency items too?
Pics are essential for lanyard threads ;)

So I get this Really tiny Trit glow fob, smaller than the P7 pocket clip, soooooo I guess this can be added to the keyring on my Huntsman... :tu:

I put fire steel toggles on my most carried SAK's. If I'm on a boat or in the woods I use a long lanyard  attached to my belt.

Trying out this 2 strand wall knot for a bit. It plays nice with the size and weight of the 84mm SAK.

Can any of you knot experts identify this?  I used to tie this knot years ago, but I've forgotten how and I can't remember the name of it to look it up.

Thanks!

Isn't that the legendary Granny Knot?
I'd tell you how to do it but my Granny is sadly no longer with us...

I just found out the Granny knot is a lot more complicated than that-  it's basically badly done reef knot - so my analysis is 100% incorrect.
No surprises there...

I don't believe it is, nor is it a "granny" knot  ::).   This knot replaces a simple overhand knot to join two equal-end legs together.  The benefit to this over the overhand is that it is flat and even.  The free ends exit the knot neatly in line with the loop, unlike an overhand.  The free ends both exit the same side of the knot.  The frayed end in my picture is a loop.

I learned this knot on SOSAK, so I guess I'll have to try searching there...

A 2-strand Matthew Walker knot maybe?

Yes, I believe that's it!  Thanks.  Will report back after I try it.

EDIT:  After watching this, I'm sure that's it:

Thanks again!
