Finished a regrinding job on an old mag glass backspring to make the new led and old mag glass combo possible for my upcoming cybertraveller lite mod.

Kurt, How was the gig last night?
Great,  thanks.  It was a casual thing for a local church's middle school event.  It was neat to see them dancing and having fun. Some had their eyes glued to us like they've never seen a live band before.  Quite different from my old L.A. club circuit days.

Day 23/30
Got home from our gig at 1:00 a.m., was at church by 8:00 for Life Safety Team duty.  Had to radio up, get ready to help folks,  and watch out for the bad guys.  Could have used Medical Bill there...

I put the Executive on the keychain because it has scissors.  I typically take my Leatherman Wave.  I also put on my little hex wrench to help with locking the doors.

Day 23

I had a few ideas for pictures today,  Soldier with badminton racquet, Soldier with giant pot of Korma. But alas, no such picture. It will be of opening a bag of walnuts instead.

Many European wine producers still use corks, less common in the New World and Australia/New Zealand, though. I always take a knife with a corkscrew when visiting France!

Day 23:

Put a new power outlet on the front of the house today, helps so that I don't have to run 50ft of extension cords for holiday lights.

SAK came in handy for stripping the outer insulation jacket, tightening a few screws and other tasks.

Corks, caps and artificial corks are very common over here. Seems to be an even mix.

Day 20:
(Attempting it ALL single layer!)

The Vic Waiter has the honors today . . . opening this nice bottle of Japanese plum wine . . .

Some of these newer corks can be rather troublesome for some corkscrews. You'd think they were made of metal, but it's no problem for the Victorinox Waiter!

A little more work than normal, but perseverance eventually prevails, and the cork was successfully removed.

 :woohoo:
Thanks to the Victorinox Waiter, we can enjoy some of my favorite Japanese wine!

John

Day 24/30
The Classic kicked the Executive off the keychain today.  Yesterday,  I missed my Climber since the Executive didn't have a cork screw to help with a late night glass of wine.

Gotta give Dad credit for making the mechanical pen/pencil set I've used for the last 10 years.  The set was an awesome gift.
