Black and red Pioneer again.

I might try to carry this for the whole month and see how I get on.

Is that a Bugnard Rancher?  It's a very nice colour.

Nope. It's the same colour as the Bugnard but this one has an empty engraving plate  :salute:

This Rancher is one of the first SAKs I bought. I can keep looking at this knife forever, this thing is perfection  :dd:

Yeah, I like Bantam's too, too often overlooked in favour of their 2-layer sibling

'07 Soldier today - used the awl to help get a hole started for a screw. Much prefer the awls on the Alox models compared to the Celidor ones, much easier to deploy without breaking a nail and being in-line you get greater precision, though I guess it's easier to put more force behind the back-mounted ones.

Yep, forgot how nice it is to carry the black Pioneer myself, it's been a while.

I might have too many minimalist options at this point.

The Soldier is a way good choice OG, I may have to switch to one before the month is out.  :tu:

Used the SI to fix Bonnies tug toy at the park, make lunch, cut some string and open up a tube of sealant.

If I could only ever have one SAK (the horror!) it would be the Soldier.

Only one two layer I agree, a Soldier or Pioneer would do nicely, but if only one total I would have to add a scissor layer.  :)

I'm new to the SAK world, so what does the term "SI" mean?

I agree. They are classic. Kudos to you for using that. My Wenger is very similar and I may give it a try.

First two days were spent camping at my kids school; great fun for them.
I drank a few beers and tanned some meat and the only cutting tool I had was the minimalist GAK.
Its like a large waiter with a saw.

I'm very intrigued by the GAK shark_za. The saw blade really is the mother of all combo-tools

And birth year soldiers are always pure win
