Nice pic and love the knife and the lighters  :tu:

Were you able to stabilize the bone covers ?

No they are a bit damaged, still thinking what would be the best thing to do with this knife
I think it's going to be a new scales project

You can do a lot with superglue to fix bone. What exactly is wrong with them ?
They sure look good in your pics.

Extra large picture from the workbench this evening  ;)

:like:
Very unique knife I would try to salvage/repair the original covers on it.

You can see the liner is bent out bottom left

Crack in the scales and also a chip missing

The fit and finish was never great on this knife with the scales not 'blended' in to the bolster

 :ahhh

OK Guys, OK, I will try to restore it so it doesn't look too bad

 :twak: Bad American friends

 ;) :D

I've had this knife for a while now, Queen workhorse canoe.
This knife needed a lot of work from the get go but seller was honest so I knew that.
Blades were of center and  wobbled a bit so tightened up the pins. That fixed the wobble and centering but then the blade rubbed because the grind was a bit thick. Reground the blades and now it is a sweet little knife, for wooden Wednesday. That I forgot about  again.
