I only have the marlinspike version, but have considered getting the two-piece version a few times.

Thanks, Al. This 2-blade became an instant favorite with me. Just puts a smile on my face. Eminently practical and fun. A bit clumsy, in an Army way, but that's fun, too. I don't think I'll miss the marline spike. I recommend that you find one and enjoy it!

(And...it's UK legal!)

New Soddy again today - I'm still not 100% sure about it to be honest... I know I should like it, but... Time will tell I suppose.

Fuzzy, why this hesitation?  Why the lack of romantic spark?

Every time I open a Sodbuster, I'm transported back to the 1700's or 1800's.  The Soddie feels like it would be familiar to a Roman Centurion.  It's a very 'natural' folder in my hands.

Why no love, yet?

Yeah, they're a bit "agricultural" in build quality, but no less reliable for it. They're made to be squaddie proof, and have a can opener that's probably strong enough to open an enemies tanks with, so long as your nails are strong enough to get the bugger open :P

Mine's had a fair bit of use, particularly when I had the boat, and has held up well  :tu:

Not implying you should do a GAW , that's just what I did. Mine was just a run of the mill white handle model. I think Sawman won it

Just switching over the pocket tools for tomorrow, as I think I've carried that little barlow enough to be sure it's still a great little knife. The new one, is ... well... a new one, kind of, or at least I'm pretty sure it's never been carried for a few days before.

Maiden voyage  :ahhh

It's a knife that's been rattling around in the knife drawer for quite a few years, and might have had the occasional use, but not proper carry. It's a Millenium Edition of a fairly standard pattern. It looks like a lockback, but It's the caplifter screwdriver that's a lockback. The knife blade is a regular slippy. It's quite small, with a cutting edge of just under 45mm, but very ergonomic in both modes. Driver works as a Phillips on large and small screws. Build quality is a little agricultural, as is standard for that factory over recent times, but it's still fully functional

Thanks clown. I do like the fact the driver locks but the blade doesn't.
