Say no to the snow!!!!

Down south we are on the porch fixin' up some Frogmore Stew. Days are in the 60's and the daffodil's are blooming. Won't be long now.

I'm working with a Case Muskrat today.

About10 more minutes. There's a little more to the story though. I am cooking this batch for my school teacher wife and five of her teacher friends. I will be dumping the grub on the table and leaving the house so they can cackle and talk about work all they would like. You are welcome to brave it if you like,,,,,, but I'm going out for a burger.

Thanks folks. This stock knife is a #68, the 3 7/8" version with the long nail pull. I wish it were the smaller 64,,, but we take what comes along.

Sadly it arrived with a spent spring on the main blade. I started to return it, but I did buy it really really cheap. Now I have to decide whether to have it repaired ( properly ) or just use it as a friction lock type.

Question,,, do you guys have knives with wore out springs in your collection,,, just for the collector value?

I do have a couple like that although I think it's more the tang is worn down rather than a spring issue.

To make a long answer short I'll just say yes I have several. I got them cheap. So I kept them.      :D

I have to say that, so far, I've avoided them.  I think of all my stuff as "users" and so try and avoid anything that is too worn out.
