Like Steve, I carry mine right front pocket next to the wallet.  No slip or sheath (except fixed blades of course).  I understand why some people like and use them, but for me part of the reason I carry a knife is convenience, so I can quickly cut something that needs to be cut and get on with things, and any feature or accessory that slows down that process is generally unwelcome.  Besides, the wallet usually does a pretty good job of holding the knife in a consistent position, and not carrying the knife in the same pocket with keys, coins, other knives etc.usually keeps it from getting beaten up too badly.
