With my 8OT overdue for cleaning and maintenance, a 2015 Buck 301 in rosewood has temporarily taken its place.

I think it's time I started looking for more modern Large Stockmans. This is the only "cheap" one I can still buy in a store today--my second-newest is a Queen-made Moore Maker (which I got unbelievably cheap used), and the third-newest the early '90s 8OT. The rest are '80s or older.

Time to pick up a couple Case 75 patterns.  Carbon or stainless, lots of handle slab options.  Not sure what your threshold is for “cheap”, but they can still be had NIB for $50 - $60 if you look around and aren’t picky about the scales.

Since choice with the Soddy and Buck.

I may not have showed it as much as I've carried it.  I got it in a trade with FarmerX.  I know you love your little trad as much as I do.  Its a great size to carry alone.  The natural bone is also good looking.
