:iagree:

Today I brought out the 61OT. I have to leave it at home if I venture out and about, but I do enjoy this one. The snap, especially on the spey blade, is unreal.

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

Why do you “have to leave at home” when you venture out?

Did Michigan revise knife laws or does Detroit have its own restrictions?  I venture to MI frequently to visit my mom and siblings and do not wish to risk issues.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Michigan does not have knife law preemption, so municipalities are free to enact their own ordinances.  Of particular note, Detroit and Lansing both have 3” blade length limits.

I’ll also put in a plug for Knife Rights’ Legal Blade app.  They used to charge a nominal fee for it, but I believe it may even be free now, and it’s a great resource for travelers.

Very true. The 61OT's master blade is about 3.25 inches. Granted, it's unlikely I'd be harassed about it...but I'm not apt to rock the boat anymore.

Nice trads, as awlways+ :tu:

Thank You Gdad and David.  It rained last night or early morning.  Love waking to rains.

Here are two I'll carry today.  They are my earliest acquisitions into the world of trads.  The CRKT Toothpick has some really lovely bone.  It was one of 4 I think trads CRKT offered and I really like the Toothpick at the time.  The Buck Creek I mistakenly thought was BUCK.  I liked the shield a lot which initially drew me to it.  Both were carried some early on as I was trying to learn about trads.

I also believe these were the first ones I posted here.

Got this one in on Friday, and carried it today. It scratched two itches at once for me.

1- I wanted to add more micarta for the Monday lineup

2- I wanted to try more Rough Ryder options

This one is part of the "Tater Skin" burlap micarta line. It is slightly smaller overall than the Sodbuster Jr.. I really like the feel and aesthetics of this one. Fit and finish are very nice. Edge and snap are also quite good. And I remember when 440 stainless was used as a positive marketing point.

Reckon it's a keeper!

Some great looking sharps!

Nice one Gdad,  Micarta and 440  :tu:  Not a thing to dislike.  I have a couple 440C blades and I'd put those against most anything.  Nothing wrong with A and B IMO either.  They make great working knives, which by the looks of that one, thats what it is.

Great looking knives AWL!

GA1dad, I do like the potato Skin scales, but decided not to acquire as a few others have my eye.
But, your knife does appear longer than you indicated, must be the blade appears to be a slimmer profile.

FarmerX your equal end Stockman with spear point is a nice sample. Or, does it have another name, ???

Sorry, no contribution today, had the Red/Blk Case Stockman in the pocket, but was busy today at hospital undergoing more scans, had to lay still for long periods, so annoying.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Nice one.
Always had an eye on these RR but hesitated buying one because I feared getting junk.
