Been busy with new HVAC system and work.

Glad you are on the mend Gareth.  Pretty funny we'd all likely have a trad in hand or very close no matter the illness.  Continued health to you my friend.

It was nice to scroll thru what I've missed.  Amazing cutlery from all as usual.   :like:

I finally tuned up my 2014 CV Sowbelly that was finished so poorly by the folks at Case.  I bought it new in 2016 and haven't really carried it because the fit and finish just made me sad.  After re-profiling the edge grinds, fixing the rounded-off tips of the clip and sheepfoot blades, adjusting the kicks for proper folded blade height and tightening one of the pivots, in my pocket she goes.

Dang that's sweet!

Thanks!

It had a bunch of deep scratches on the spearpoint that I buffed out the best I could. I am happy with it now  :D

I am doing yard work today and decided that I need a dedicated knife for yard work instead of using my work knife. I first grabbed my Mini Peasant, but I have been using it in the kitchen and at the table and like using it in that manner.

Then I thought about this knife:

Klein electrician's knife

It came with a Camillus that I won. The knife shows signs of hard usage and isn't worth much. But it will still cut, and it is okay if it gets dirty. So, I put an edge on it and gave it a new lease on life  :tu:

Dang, it needed a lot of work. But the end results look good!

Pair it with a folding saw, and you have an ideal yard work knife!

Great stuff from awl, as awlways! :tu:

Great trads but there always are  :tu:.  NutSAK, that is a heck of a good looking Sowbelly.  Really a shame it came to you in such bad condition that you set it aside.  I really like the pattern a lot and its very comfy in my hand.  Glad you spent some time on it and sorted out all the issues that made it sit on the sideline.  Hope it gets plenty of pocket time to make up for all the drawer time.

Afternoon friends😉
Six more days of the tween challenge🙄

Today not toting a Traditional, but, wanting to share an eBay purchase that arrived yesterday and has been focus of TLC in my man cave.
Per the description, this knife was an estate find, so this Knife lost its owner.

This is a CASE 047 pattern with date code of 1971,  same year I graduated High school. And, by the looks of the inners, it appeared to have been pocket carried every day the past 51 or 52 years.  The blades also appeared to have been sharpened very often during this period as well. Even the bone scales have wear and tear.   A knife that was not a shelf queen BUT a pocket KING!

I wanted to pay my respects, so I purchased, I cleaned, oiled, and polished! So I can display on my shelf.  I only can imagine the life it lived and I think it is kinda neat.

Part one of pictures -
CASE 63047, 1991, Muskrat Stockman😉
