Nice carries from awl, as usual! :tu: Gary's mystery knife has me curious; hopefully he'll be able to say for sure what stamps it bears.

This one is too good to not carry (at least on occasion).

I didn't over expect.  I didn't know the old thing had deteriorated so much.  My eyesight too.  Old Uncle didn't take very good care of anything.  His idea of sharpening a knife was scrubbing it back and forth on a piece of concrete.  He had a Kabar jack knife that some boy had given him and it looked so sad that I gave him a new Remington trapper.  Camillus green and yellow.  I saw it about a year later and it looked as bad as his other knives.  My cousin Richard wanted it because he thought it was an antique.  It only looked 75 years old.
There are so many classy knives on this post, that I shouldn't have sent the photo.  But, it didn't cost anything to look, right?  I might find a name if I can get it in a good light.  Not important anyway.  Best wishes. Gary

We definitely like seeing all types of trads here.  New, old, much loved and even somewhat neglected.  :D

Can't remember if I've shown this one here before.  I'XL penknife with steel engine turned covers.  I've only just put and edge on it so I hope I've not carried it already.  :D

Returned to my homestead last night, was in Kazoo for a funeral and spent time with cousins and my brother and his wife as they made room for me Saturday night

To start the week I selected a neglected Barlow.

Some good looking lamb's foot knives here.  At least we know that the MTo crowd are keeping the Albers company busy, etc.  A big shout out for that blue jean baby queen RR Barlow.  That thing looks great.  Also the Frank Buster with green handles.  It has been a while since I saw one.  Best wishes.  Gary

Nice one.  I had an Old Timer about that size once upon a time.  An old guy who worked with my Dad knew he had a young son (me).  He asked whether I might want a pocket knife.  He was a tobacco chewer, and R.J. Reynolds was putting coupons in their tobacco.  Save so many and send for a pocket knife.  It wasn't too long until I was presented with a new Old Timer.  Schrade?  No.  It was made by Ulster.  Same logo.  Same brown saw cut looking handles.  Ulster tang stamp.  I don't know where it ever went to.  Too many years.  Best wishes. Gary

I was presented with a new Old Timer.  Schrade?  No.  It was made by Ulster.
Ulster did make a few of the Old Timer models. Yours sounds like it was a 50OT. Sure would be cool if you found it laying around somewhere!

Nice choices for today, Gareth, Steve, and David! :tu:

I'm sure my Dad swapped it off somewhere.  I don't know what a 50OT is, so I can't help you there, Dan.  My best recollection is the Ulster was a small 2 blade jack.  Some who carried the Old Timer Schrades liked them.  Some didn't because they turned black as a pair of Sunday shoes after a few weeks of carrying.  Most of them had blades that wobbled after they had been used a while.  My Dad bought the tiny little 3 blade stockman knives for the men at work one Christmas.  One man showed me the little Old Timer stockman he got years after that with a smile.  Best wishes. Gary
