Something of a mystery knife. had the main blade snapped off when I got it and an indistinguishable tang stamp.
I had a rummage in my junk box and found a Vic' blade that had been modified into a whittling blade and I had practised some filework on the spine. The narrower profile suited the shape of the space for the main blade in the knife.
I removed the pivot pin and used the old tang to reshape the Vic' blade. I'll admit I got it shightly uneven around the hole as the spring sits a tiny bit below flush when the blade is closed. Never mind if my OCD can't live with it there are plenty of blades where that one came from.
Steel liners and bolsters, horn scales, carbon steel saw (still sharp) and marlinspike/sack needle and the impostor stainless Vic' blade.

Not the prettiest knife I own but a cool old thing to throw in my pocket occasionally.

I have a couple of old knives in pretty poor condition with carbon steel blades, I must have a better look at them and see if there is a more suitable donor blade for this old fella.

Many Bucks are that way.  My larger, 40 year old 110 has the same nail nick as that smaller 55.
