A lot of people here have Opinels but I have to admit I've never handled one.

It's the only one I have ::) :D I did buy my mother one a while back but it is a SS #8  :tu: She always carried a paring knife in her purse (yes a paring knife  ) just for cutting tomatoes that she takes with her when she eats places :D I was starting to worry that when she would reach in for something else she was going to grab the blade :o So I bought her the Opinel and she loves it  She carries it everywhere with her and now I don't have to worry about her grabbing a blade just cutting herself cause it is so sharp :o

As cheap as these are guys it wouldn't hurt to order a #7 or #8 just to try one of these :tu: They take a wicked edge and seem very sturdy to me :like:

Was gifted this today - don't know much about it except I like the logo. It's a Fox folder - like a Buck. I don't have anything like this so am interested in testing it out. Anyone shed any light on it? It seems to be solid - not Vic standards on the F&F, and some sharp edges and points on the scales/bolsters etc.
