Passenger Owners Club
on: September 22, 2016, 04:08:30 PM
There don't seem to be many of these 'cult classics' around but those who have them love them.

My entry is a modded one with the small blade replaced with an in-line awl.  I like the compact size and the in-line philips and mag glass are my favourite layer on a SAK. The in-line awl makes it just about perfect- especially when coupled with my Spirit.

Show us yours, and tell us what you love about it.

With all the renewed interest in Woodsmen and Yeoman, I thought I'd resurrect the Passenger thread:

I didn't know Passengers are a 3 layer model, very nice!  Especially "Sunny Side Up", my name for your yellow beauty.

Yup.  ::) This is why I have had to mod my two main users - The Greenwood took a Swisschamp, a Huntsman, a spare 93mm awl and scales from the lovely Weasel, and Pikachu took an Explorer, another spare 93mm awl and scales from the lovely Hiraethus. A team effort!

Was hoping to become a member of the Passenger Owners Club yesterday. But possibly disaster happened: the package containing a mint condition Passenger from the mid eighties (and also a Bantam and a 2016 Pioneer) may have been lost in the mail. According to the tracking code it was delivered, but not at my address and the postal service has no way of finding out where it was delivered because it was handled by the regular mail service in stead of the parcel service. Hopefully somewhere in our neighborhood and hopefully the recipient is an honest person who either returns it to sender or throws it in my mailbox.  :-\

Thanks  :salute:

I hope i'm just too pessimistic though. It's just that my experience with regular mail is real smurf. It happens all the time that our mail is delivered to other addresses and vice versa, sometimes it ends up in a mailbox a couple of blocks away. I know this by what I do get eventually, I of course don't always know what I don't get. Sometimes I do expect a letter from a company or agency and it just doesn't arrive, in which case I suspect that the postal service must have misplaced it.

All this misery started years ago when the postal service got privatised and they started hiring all sorts of temporary, part time and underpaid employees to get the service profitable.

Before the privatisation it was a government agency and employees had good steady jobs with decent salary.
