I was disqualified from this club decades ago (more than I'll admit to) - having used the awl to awl its potential - including sewing back up a heavy bag of pet food that was infested (had to go back to the store) with one of the newer awls that had a sewing needle - the common "need another hole in the belt" a couple times long ago - making starter holes in wood for wood screws - and using it to carefully undo some tight knots. The Wenger work better for this; the Vic can cut the cord if used too aggressively.


The one question I've had to which there's never been a satisfactory answer, after awl the knives with awl the awls:
Is there the One Awl to rule them awl?
