when you open the orange peeler is it normal for it to rub against the large blade?

Just checked a few of mine to be sure but none of them rub at all  If you are having this issue it is likely due to either a bent peeler or bent main blade maybe

If it is easy to return then that would be the first option :tu: if not then you may have to send it to Vic and use the warranty on it :-\

Ridiculous, I had to buy like 5 swiss champs just to get one where the saw and fish scaler didn't rub.

Check to see if you're not pushing it against other blades when you open it. Once you get your nail in the nail nick, use the opposite finger to grab the blade/tool and pulling it open, don't just press your nail into the nail nick and against the other tools.

No offense, but I don't see the big deal in a little blade rub. Even some of the top end knives will have some blade rub on a few specimens. It doesn't effect the
use of the knife unless the blade(s) don't open and close properly.  With mass production as with SAKs, I'd be very surprised if quite a few of their knives come out of the factory with a little blade rub. Several of my SAKs and other good folders have a slight blade rub. IMHO it is just cosmetic and not a major issue (at least not to me).
