At one time or another both blades have been used in cellidor models....84mm Aprentice with the electricians blade, the others slipping my mind.
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

Still, they are unnecessarily exotic, these blades. Good luck finding a SMKW Master Electrician - what a SAK!!
Sure, you could buy an XLT but that's a ridiculous cartoon SAK that nobody is likely to schlep around and use.

I would love to see something like the Master Electrician on the regular market. (The narrow backside screwdriver is another terrific tool that doesn't appear on enough SAKs, and the inclusion of 2 Phillips screwdrivers is not paradoxical at all.)

The XLT isn't that big.
You have to get the XXLT or the XAVT if you want the awesome alox type awl on a cellidor SAK.

Putting "special" blades in custom builds is something I think about often...and seeing 2 od them in one layer has me wondering what the spring thickness is, are there spacers, etc.

I wonder what the best source wous be for the blades...alox 93mm with the hole filled ans redrilled smaller? Or the single bladed pruning knife /grafting knife etc?

I think it would be quite nice if they put the electrician blade in the CyberTool line.

I think the Soldier (93mm Alox) is the standard frame.

Sadly I think the XLT is a bit too chunky for my tastes. And even if it wasn't, it's way too expensive for my wallet!

I know what you mean bud, I was just using it as an historical precedent that Vic had paired a Electrician blade with a Cyber Tool /driver on another model....hopefully they will again.  It's the perfect logical choice instead of a pen blade.

I think that blade, and the metal file make a lot of sense for the CT line. I know you can get the file on a CT41, but that model seems to be hard to find, and I don't really need a wood saw on my urban EDC personally. The CT34 is near perfect for me though, so I can deal with a couple minor shortcomings.

I EDCed that ridiculus cartoon SAK for 2-3 years. I love it and have it by my bedside. That's what I always use at home now but your words made me thinking about EDCing it again. Leaving my Spirit behind will be a heartbreaking situation but I can find some alternatives for the pliers (a Skeletool perhaps).

So, you might be right that this SAK is ridiculous (I think you aren't but that's subjective) but you are wrong about nobody is likely to schlep around and use it, because I did (and that's objective).

+1000!!!!
I schlep it around on a regular basis and it's in my daypack for an "all in one" travel SAK. Perhaps somebody with really small hands might find it hard to use too.
