A couple more Gerber adjustments....
on: October 11, 2016, 04:08:25 PM
I already had two complete Gerber mods, the MP426 and TurboDiesel, but to accomplish the TurboDiesel (and another project) I had to pilfer some parts from the Destroyer, which has since laid in ruins in drawer. Before my recent absence, I had also managed to acquire a BO blunt nosed Multilock (forerunner to the MP600), and a Pro-Scout with diamond file and awl.

Today I decided to consolidate these items with a few simple mods. I switched the heap of the Multilock onto the Pro-Scout, leaving the tool set in the handles unchanged (for now ), and used the rest of the Multilock to rebuild the Destroyer. The Destroyer has a different configuation this time, but is still a highly capable tool.

Here's a couple of pics of each tool as they exist now. The Destroyer will live in my main toolbag with the Schrade Vise Grip LC6, and the Pro-Scout which I haven't come up with a witty name for yet, will probably be a general purpose carry tool

Love them... and I love how easily you can customize the 600 frame to your needs.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Looks great 50! By the way, the stainless MP600 you pilfered is actually a MultiLock Scout, not a Pro Scout :tu:

Thanks guys  It's nice to get the Destroyer back in circulation. Thanks for the correction on the Scout identification too  :tu:

So the name I need to come up with is based on the fact that it's a Multilock Scout upgraded with BO blunt nose Multilock pliers  hardly skips off the tongue though  :D

Based on the colouring and the blunt nose, I might just call it Plier Upgraded Gerber.....

..... or The PUG  :D
