Day 19

After using the knife blade from the Outrider to divide a large clump of ferns I transplanted the cutting to another pot.

IvanDrago day 20/30

Cleaning by decent brush is way more effective than ultrasonic cleaner I had shown before.

BTW, this thread is free advertising for Vic, so not to be so sweet I found a photo showing that can opener is totally useless and annoying for those straight parts of can:

Consuming sprats and bread rolls onto a curb at a gas station somewhere in France, while hitchhiking trip to the Alps, with the accompany of dead giant-bee :ahhh

Never too much garlic....

Late day 19:

It was so cold tailgating for my college team that I couldn't open my refreshing beverages.  I just opened the cap lifter and left it open all day.

Also opened some cans of tomato for jambalaya.

A clove is a single segment.

That explains why nobody likes my cooking...!

Day 20.

Sliced potatoes for breakfast again today. To be honest this is one task the serated edge makes harder. The serations don't push easily through a potato you have to slice.

My cat would have plopped down on them and either started to play with them or he would have gone to sleep on them,  In any case they would have become his, possession being 9/10ths of the law as they say. :pok:

Day 21

I'm curious how everyone is carrying these rather large knives.  The Outlander is too thick for pocket carry so I have been carrying it in a belt pouch.  The thing is, even though I have a brand new in the box Victorinox pouch made for the Spirit or the 111mm's, I wanted to keep it new in the box in case I get another Spirit.  So, I went into my drawer full of sheaths and pouches and I found a Buck sheath that fits the Outrider perfectly. Some, whose OCD is worse than mine, may find this unacceptable, but it's been working just fine for 3 weeks now. The strange part is I don't even use a pouch with my Spirit. I prefer to pocket carry it.

My Fireman always gets carried in my coat pocket. Even though I do have various 111 mm sheaths. The WorkChamp requires a belt sheath.

I stuck a clip on my Swisstool Spirit and ended up using it a lot more frequently than without. I also have one of those leather sheaths for it but as I never wear a belt it's an accessory that just doesn't work for me.

The bulkiness of the 111mms gets out of hand quite quickly. Obviously the lighter 2/3 layers models are fine in a coat pocket, but the one or two chunkier ones that I have lead boring lives inside a drawer most of the time.
