Most of the time I use a belt sheath but from time to time I'll pocket carry with a lanyard attached to my belt.
Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

Day 22

Today I received a package from a long way overseas.  :mail:

All the way from Brother Hiraethus' secret laboratory in Wales.  It is the Cybertool 41 that I won in the October Minimalist challenge.  I have to admit that I was so excited to open this package that I might have spotted, but just a little.  This is an incredibly beautiful SAK with translucent ruby scales. Pictures do not do it justice. Brother Hiraethus said it was used, and possibly missing bits, but it appears to be complete and it is in at least as good condition as any other SAK in my possession. It is gorgeous.  I can't figure the logic behind Victorinox deciding to stop selling this model in the U.S., but I've got mine.  I am absolutely ecstatic.

You want a CT41 new, Poncho, you have to order it from Europe or Japan. I don't know why.  Maybe it just wasn't a big seller in the U.S. where folks tend to want tactical knives.

I get to go to the lab, and see the doc, every 3 months to monitor my diabetes.  It's not nearly as much fun as it sounds. :(

It sure didn't sound fun to begin with :ahhh Best to keep that stuff in check though :salute: I would way rather have a CT than any type of tactical knife  :D

I couldn't resist these cheap 'n' cheerful Victorinox breakfast knives. 6 for ca. 20 euros.
What I didn't expect is that they are insanely sharp... sharper than any SAK I've ever come across. I'm actually considering dulling them a little so my kid doesn't accidentally remove a finger or two.
Anyway, here they are posing with the indomitable Hunter, which single-handedly liberated those "Tomatenmesser" from their packaging.

Day 24

Happy Thanksgiving!

I received another package late yesterday. Some heirloom garlic, ready for planting.  A friend has been propagating this variety for 35 years and he was curious to find out if they would grow in my climate so he sent me some.  I'm a fair hand in the garden but I am a little worried about how wet my soil is.  I think I'll try these in containers so I can better control the moisture.

Day 24

Busy day for the can opener. Went to my sister in-laws house for Thanksgiving and her can opener was not working. We opened about 10 cans today. Have to say the one handed hump on the blade can get in the way when your opening that many cans.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?
