I just received an email from my company saying that they expect all staff not needed for steel production to finish work on Dec 22nd and return no earlier than Jan 3rd 2017. In the job I am doing now that also includes me

This will be my first Christmas off since 1996, other than the standard 3 days (xmas day, boxing day and new years day). This is going to be great  :D

I have plenty of holiday days left so I'll see if I can use 4 of them to give me until the 9th Jan off

Its nice when things line up like that!

I don't know what we are doing for Christmas other than visiting Megan's family in New Brunswick (about 700 miles away) for a couple of days.  I'll probably take the opportunity to visit Halifax too and check on our house and tenants.
