Old multitool user but new member, from Italy
on: October 25, 2016, 10:08:27 AM
Hi to everyone.
I'm italian so forgive my limited english.
I'm new in this forum but i'm not new to the multitool, because when i was graduated, in 1991 ( :-\) i gift to myself a swisschamp.
In so far time the choose was restricted to the few multitools i could found in my town shops. Internet doesn't exist like today ( :-\ :-\)
Anyway, that swisschamp came with me every day of my life and is in good working condition at today, only the leather case is damaged by years of belt rubbing.
In origin i had a maglite solitaire too, replaced with led one some years ago.

Few days ago i thought to see what's new in the market to eventually upgrade my multitool and i've discovered a very very big multitool world on the internet, that i didn't imagine , and the best part of this world i think is this forum  :climber:
To give a change to my belt's life  i found yesterday on ebay and have buyed this used-but-in-good-working-condition-leatherman-charge-tti
http://www.ebay.it/itm/232116888954?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
and i'm now waiting for the delivery.
I'll take you informed...
I' think the price is good for the italian market, and i like the personalization possibilities of this tool.
Stay with me in the next days, because i'm so inexperienced to the multitool wide world  :drink:
Thank you everyone

Ciao, ginooooo! Bienvenuto!

That's a nice little piece you got there. Good start for a multitool user.

Welcome!
That's not a bad deal in Europe.
I've seen second hand sellers asking €120-150.

I've got a Charge AL myself and quite like it.
I'm willing to bet the TI handles finish what I'm missing in mine though.

Enjoy the waiting, the unpacking, the admiring and using! All are steps of thrills and happiness in the multitool world.

Welcome to the forum!  I am glad you found us!

If you like tool information, this is the best place for it.  One of the few days to do better than the SwissChamp is to get a Charge, but it will be harder to better than either of those!  You have started at the top of the market and left yourself little room for experiments!  :D

And your English seems great to me!

I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Charge when you get it.   :multi:

Welcome.  You certainly got some great use from your Swisschamps sheath.  The Charge will provide you with many years of service.

Thanks to everyone for the great welcome.
In a first idea i've thought to take a victorinox cybertool 41, but i see that my shealth is not produced yet. Only a stand alone knife shealth is available from victorinox. Dislike it so much!

When i saw the charge tti at 95€ i've the idea to take it and give a chance to it.
But I've just thought to modify something i don't like of it, so...

Welcome to the fold!

That is a pretty decent deal on a Charge even in the States, you really lucked out with that one! Have you considered looking beyond Victorinox for a new Swisschamp Sheath? many members here make custom sheaths, and Maxpedition makes some nice stuff that might work for you.

Thank you, but if i'll change to my leatherman i don't need a sheath for the swisschamp anymore. There is already a sheath that seems like new in the ebay auction i've buy, and for an alternative i've just looked to the lighter weight LM Molle-XL sheath
