Well this is my first review so bear with me...

WHAT I LIKED

Good Quality for a Chinese made tool.

Pocket Clip.

Mirror polish.

Phillips head screwdriver was easy to open unlike other tools.

Lockable Knife.

Outside and inside tools.

UNDECIDED

Spring loaded scissors were easy to use but don't flick out like pliers on Gerbers.

The pliers were too small to do anything serious with but it was nice to have them on a scissors multitool.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE

The tool was made in China.

Pliers on the side made it unconfortable to carry while using the pocket clip.

Bottle opener and can opener were very difficult to open.

The file doesn't stay on the tool.

The saw wasn't sharp.

The bottle opener didn't work very well.

That sounds pretty well what I thought of it too.  I like the idea, and it is a fantastic concept, but it just doesn't work well in practice.

For anyone still not familiar with it:

Multitasker Review

The pliers look like they were stolen off a SwissChamp and bolted on as an afterthought.  I do like the shears though, even if they don't slide out like the head on a Gerber.  I'd really like to see this design, or another heavy duty set of shears in a full sized multitool.  Of course if you have actually used them for anything you can tell that they are really impressive, and feel like they could cut their way out of a burning 747 with them.

I actually liked the fact that the file is removable.....or are you saying it is too loose and falls off easy?

In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

"I actually liked the fact that the file is removable.....or are you saying it is too loose and falls off easy?" It wasn't loose but I thought that the file will have limited usefuleness since it doesn't stay on the tool and it lacks a handle.

I always assumed that the file locked into the main tool somehow ???

The file fits relatively snug onto its pivot, and so doesn't seem likely to get lost.

Yah, I suppose you are right. It would have made more sense if the removable file had been a diamond file, so it could be used to touch up the pruner jaws when they get dull. :-\

Like for instance the Leatherman PST II or the Juice Kf4 or the Charge have diamond-coated file blades. They are outstandingly useful devices, perhaps Leatherman's greatest implement.

If made removable, they can be used to sharpen the knife blade on the same tool, as the diamond coating is harder than the knife steel.

Only picture I have handy of a removable diamond file is this one of the Leatherman Genus.

A Japanese design, manufactured in China, for the US market. Now thats gobalization  :D
If he has a reputation for quality workmanship guess it somehow lessens when he manufactured his multitool in China. :(
