Has this ever existed?

I'm wondering if there has ever been a model like this: basically an explorer with a saw instead of scissors.  Might have to be a custom project...

There's also the 91mm Hiker...which is a camper with phillips on the backside instead of corkscrew ...not the same exactly...but you'd get the phillips at least.

I believe the Woodsman is the closest you will get in five layers or less. The in-line Phillips and magnifier layer has only been on a few SAK. I've got several Woodsman and love it. Doesn't make it that much thicker than the Explorer as the wood saw is one of the thinner layers.

Yup, the Woodsman is the way forward - They are discontinued so unless jalind will send you one of his, you'll have to mod one. Easiest ay is to get a Swisschamp and remove everything you don't want. If you're doing that anyway you might as well remove the scissors too if you don't want them.

There's one on ebay right now (along with a huntsman somebody is calling a woodsman)

But at $70 modding a champ would be cheaper

...also Huntsman Lite has the IL phillips since it has the LED light layer
