I wish I could take this as an indication that the BO models are getting wider distribution. It would be nice if Victorinox made these widely available in the United States, lately they're extremely hard to find. Don't they know Americans love tactical stuff?
May it be as the Pattern has chosen.

Just when I got myself a BO Spirit S a month ago, Vic reintroduces them... typical.

Looks like they're releasing the S and X models with cap crimper under (yet again) a new designation.

What's new about them?

Nothing, I think.  They changed the part number x.xxxx.xCCH to x.xxxx.xCN for the Spirit, but AFAICT the SwissTool hasn't changed.

I just got the PDF, that they are new available.

Not sure, if they were discontinued for a while or were not officially available, or they were limited.I'm never on the level with this as I still can go to the store and buy an RT.

Belgium, going rate for murder is probably a couple of thousands... lets say 10k. Transfer that to my PayPal and I send one your way (with a thank you note :salute:)

More likely 3 months in jail and 3 years probation.

What does an RT go for over there?

I think regular price is 186 CHF (Cheapest I ever found was 126CHF).

Thanx for the link Etherealicer. I just seen those two BO Swisstools today at Indo Defence expo in Jakarta, Indonesia. Yes the Vic representative here said the BO Swisstools are available (the Swisstool Spirit still on the way). But I saw one unit of the BO Swisstool sold in front of me today.

Maybe my friend @jaya_man would share his pictures

Have you tried one out? They are heavy and big... I sold mine cos I figured I would never use it.
The Spirit has the same tools at a fraction of the weight...

I think it's more than just a weight issue.

Spirit is more comfortable in pliers mode, has slightly heavier duty scissors - but with shorter snip length, a better chisel due to the side angle, and a more aggressive file.

Swisstool has more file surface area, standard (wonderful) Vic scissor, and can be used as a square quite accurately. I think the saw may be thinner too, but that might be my memory playing tricks.

I too ditched the Swisstool CS Plus for the Spirit X, but I can understand why some folks might prefer the Swisstool.

Nope, you're quite right. Here's a great comparison thread, with lots of pictures (although they aren't loading for me right this second, it seems to be a problem with photobucket).

But I must warn you, there's always something sharp and pointy within arm's reach here, and I only sleep like 4 hours a day, the rest of the day I spend my time lurking on this one forum on the net ...

P.S.: I ordered my Spirit RT at the local outdoor shop (Victorinox dealer) years ago, and I "only" paid around 138 Euro for it, if I'm not mistaken.

Sounds about right, the Euro/CHF exchange rate used to be much higher (If you bought it before 2014, then it was probably somewhere around 1.20 CHF == 1 Euro)

You post way to little to be on here 14 hours a day.

Maybe I should observe your way of life from a distance for a few weeks so I know your paterns...

Or I could just invite you over for some coffee, talk about SAK's and politely ask if I could look at it once... Might save me from jail time...

Edit: even the sheath it comes with is

When I've got my SwiisTool BO (previous version - without crimper on pliers) I was seriously disapointed with a quality of coating.
Can anybody confirm that it's a normal situation?

P.S. By the way, I'm also looking for Spirit RT for reasonable price.. My collection is waiting for it  :D
