I grew up in California where butterfly knives and switch blades are illegal.   :'(       But when I was in high school, I took a trip up to Washington.  Stopped somewhere at a mall where I found a cool knife & cutlery store.  My friend had shown me a really cheap 3 inch butterfly knife his brother bought in Mexico.  So I was looking for a cheap butterfly knife similar to my friends.  The shop owner said the smallest butterfly that he carried was a Benchmade Mini Morpho.  I had NEVER held such a beautiful knife and it flipped around with precision and grace that was lacking in all the cheap balisongs that I had ever messed with.

BUT $260 was more than I could dream of paying for a knife that I couldn't even carry around without fear of it being confiscated.  Now, almost 20 years later, I had pretty much given up on ever owning one because Benchmade stopped making them and I could only ever find the full size Morphos for sale.  I finally found one.

So happy. :woohoo:
