Victorinox scales, where to find?
on: October 10, 2022, 12:33:11 PM
Hi fellow knights!
I accidentally damaged a scale on my SAK by filing off the keyring hole. I went to the victorinox website and to my surprise there's no option to buy replacement scales! I found everything from knives to tweezers to springs, colored toothpicks and so on but no scales!  :o
Does anybody know where to buy official victorinox branded scales? Or a trustable seller on ebay or other?

Thanks!

Hi VIXADDICT never had a problem on eBay, viktryls being probably the best known seller and very reliable

You are in Europe, right? Any local Vic dealership should have them for under 3€ a set.

Yeah, find a local dealer and go through them. It's a lot cheaper/faster than ebay. The same goes for most of the "secondary" parts like extra toothpicks, tweezers, etc.

You learn something every day.  I just need to find a dealer...

Also, I've bought from viktryls and he's a good guy.

I get mine done in house at Casco Bay Cutlery. He charges a dollar a part and will do the scales right there if you ask. Can't beat that.

Thanks to all!
I contacted Victorinox that direct me to their official reseller in France that direct me to the closest authorized dealer that should have replaceable parts  :)
It should indeed be cheeper, the ebay store charge 16€ the scales
