Wenger pocket toolchest reamer as back tool?
on: November 08, 2016, 12:34:52 AM
If I include 2 blade layers in my upcoming 85mm Wenger build (plain/small clip point and serrated/nailfile), I'll have room for an extra back tool.

I'll already have the Wenger awl on the openers layer, but that's not a reamer. I want to keep it fully Wenger for this build, so I was thinking of putting the reamer awl from the pocket toolchest on the back. I figure it will need a spacer of course...but will it snap right and sit flat in the cutout of the spring?

Anybody tried?

Any other ideas for other tools that would fit well?

Or I could just find a blades spring with no backtool cutout..

You would more than likely have to drill and grind it to shape but it should work.
