Sure Ponch, it is the first design with spear point blades and old style coated file.  :salute:

Interestingly, the tang stamps say Victorinox Swizerland Stainless, dropping the Rostfrei. Like the 4 line tangs without the last line.  :cheers:

I prefer the new style file on the Spirit for my uses.  :)

Day 28! It's whizzed by! I'm not sure I'm going to last the 30 days - alway the Spirit is really really useful and well made, it doesn't seem as exciting to me as a SAK. Maybe it's because it's built around pliers and not a knife.  :think:

It's a great carry Mags, you can do it. The Spirit is definitely a utility model, but an elegant one.  :tu: I only started early because my PX-D expires at the end of the year, I want to carry it for a while before it spoils.  ;)

There is not much to say about the Spirit that isn't posted somewhere here on MTO. EDC has been easy for the most part, with few tasks that the Spirit wasn't good at. At the risk of being too negative, I can list what else I had need for this month. I didn't use the Spirit much for food prep., resorting to my Spydie for most of it, I did use the Spirit's blade for as much as possible for everything else, and it performed well. I think the Spirit X spear point would have been better for sustained food prep. chores. The scissors are great, and are fine for most uses, and I only had to look for something else a couple of times, usually due to the small size being inadequate for the task. The 91mm size scissors are just better, and while the 91 scissors will do everything the Spirit scissors will do, the reverse is not true. I also had a few occasions to use other tools, most notably a Crescent wrench and the smaller tools of the SwissChamp for some small fiddly tasks, but the pliers work fine and as expected. Again, if I needed to have pliers on me every day, EDCing the Spirit would be an obvious choice, but I only have that need part time, so it will go back into my tool kit tomorrow, handling what comes up, and waiting for more pocket time.  :)

Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the LM Crunch  Multitool for fifteen (15) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the keychain for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. You have one of your pictures in the 2018 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2017 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2019 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year.
