I think it serves it purpose of keeping the awl from burying itself, but that's about it. I like the butter blade too, it performs well, but I prefer the 93mm spearpoint for all around use. Here's how my pocket divider works, I use Vic SOS kit safety pins of course! It basically holds the lower half of the tool, and I can fetch it with thumb and forefinger. Question to see if you're a true MTo'er: Did you take your jeans off specially to take that pic? No I was wearing them, I'm that thin. Or...Yes, I took them off just for that shot (the congregation didn't mind me stopping the sermon while I derobed and got my camera out).

Going well, thanks! I'm using the Spirit extensively today to help disassemble things to be sorted into scrap/sell/keep boxes (very OCD type work). Trying to see how far I can get with my little tool bag before I am forced to resort to the big tool cabinet. Kinda fun actually, good Saturday stuff. Used the Spirit and modified plus ratchet set to replace the motor in my cordless drill also, which went well except for a single T10 screw that was recessed deep in the housing, which I found that the small back screwdriver on my SwissChamp was able to negotiate fairly easily, so no trip to the big box was neccessary. The drill is one I have had for 20 years and has served exceptionally well, but the motor, while still operating, was starting to throw sparks and smoke from the vents. Rather than replace the obsolete drill with a comparable new one, which now sell for around $100-150, I got the replacement motor for $25, retaining the patina and sentimental value also. I suppose I can keep it going until they no longer offer replacement batteries, as I have gone through a few of those over the years.
That would be a decision that I don't want to make anytime soon. This drill has definitely earned 'keeper' status with me, but I would consider Makita if I were shopping a new one. I remember them being the go-to cordless drills for years, remembering the older ones with the long slender batteries. I saw those on jobsites a lot in the 80's.
