I find the Spirit scissors are more like mini snips than scissors. They're stiffer and more positive than on a 91mm SAK (or the Swisstool, for that matter) and although they don't open very wide, how often do you actually need to cut really thick material? I do find the left-handedness of the scissor frustrating sometimes, but really only when I'm cutting my nails - and the Rambler on my keys works much better for nails anyway.If you want to widen the scissors it's a pretty easy mod to do.
