We brought some of this smoked salmon to Burning Man:

It's really good!   We bought a bunch for our camping/shtf supplies  (note the 5 year shelf life).

I usually use MREs or other ready to eat meals.  I am going to seriously look into those dehydrated products listed above--thanks for posting those!

I like the dehydrated meals.  I believe that I used to get the Mountain House brand.  Personally, the Pad Thai is my favorite.  However, I found that it would be more than enough for two people.  I could not finish a whole pack myself so unless you plan on eating the same thing for breakfast, you might want to search for a smaller size.

I found these at the grocery and tried them out this year...retort pouched Curries. These and boil-in-the bag rice made an easy meal.

This is pretty bizarre. I just ate that exact same one as the middle packet for dinner about 1 hour ago with some rice...  :o

You are right, though I found the chick pea curry to be a little weaker than the others to be honest. I might add a little extra kick next time to that one...  ;) :D

I only started buying those Indian food pouches about 2 weeks ago. There are 3 brands I have tried  - 2 of them are in your picture. They are all good. Haven't decided on my favourites yet.
