Every year, there is a vendor that opens in November and sticks around long enough to reach boxing day, and then moves back for the rest of the season. She usually sells knives. Nothing super quality or terribly expensive. A set caught my eye. It says Master USA on the box. I asked to see it, and despite it clearly stating China on the set, I decided I could live with the fairly low price because I really like the overly large Bowie style knife that was included with the set.
The set consist of one of those para-cord survival bracelets, a large sized folder, and a honking huge Crocodile Dundee knife.

I am certain that quality lacks in construction etc...although the knives do come sharp out of the box. I can recall when cheap knives always came dull. For the longest time, I was given the story that they couldn't ship sharp knives due to some law. That was a load of horse puckey...so I guess quality does appear to be on the up and up, even for cheap knives these days.
