  • Naked without my multitool!
Its similar to the PocketGrip but lacks the wood saw, has a corkscrew and its bit adapter is inline in combination with a tyre tread gauge.

They're gone :)  I've just taken the blade to mirror finish and now trying to take it back to a uniform satin.  This could take a while.  :-\

Now where's Ben?  Ben come look Ben :D

Because I like a challenge  :think: :)   Looking at it you might be right, I think I might go back to mirror or... oh I don't know  :-\

This is normal behaviour by the way.  I do this with most blades I have to work on.  Thats why that old red soldier I resurrected ended up mainly satin with a mirror bevel.  I just never know when to stop :D

You see that knife Ben....  :pok:

That's my knife that is.

You don't have one.

I've been waiting hours to say that (in my best David Baddiel voice ) :D

I shall keep an eye out for you, but at present I am unable to satisfy your need for a small ribbed tool.  I do give permission for you to salivate over mine though.

 :D I'm beginning to understand that  ::)

Karl over on the SOSAK forum has a positive ID for this model, the clever chap...

Quote from: vaswiss
The two-blade alox knife with the combination tool is called 'Bantam Alox' - #0.2300.26. The two-blade alox knife with the bottle opener/screwdriver was an earlier version of the 'Waiter' - #0.1300.26. Probably from the 1970s.

Very roughly I'd guess six hours.  Yep, unless you're nuts its always best to pay a bit more and buy a knife in good condition. Of course if you're broke (tick) or you've never seen that model before and really want it (tick) then its time to break out the papers and polishes :D

I really recommend people buy the good condition shiny SAKs, keeps the crudy ones cheap for me to pick up  >:D
