For the Aussies: Bunnings now selling Vic SAKS
on: November 14, 2016, 03:15:51 PM
Was in the Bunnings tool section the other day and to my surprise and delight I saw that they are now selling SAKs.
If any non Aussies are reading - Bunnings is the Oz version of Home Dept/B&Q etc.

I thought they had made an excellent model selection for a store like Bunnings: Can't remember them all but Tinker, Super Tinker, Deluxe Tinker, Soldier, Swisschamp, one of the big Rangers were certainly there - about eight in all  - And pretty reasonable prices too (for Oz at least!).

Interestingly even though they are in the 'tools' section with its extra security - The SAKs had even more security in that you needed a staff member to even take them off the shelving :(

I guess SAKs are very desireable and stealable

I had seen some Leathermans (Wingman) at Bunnings before - But that seemed to be more of a one off 'gondola end' WIGIG offer

Heh; I was in a Brisbane store a couple of weeks ago and they still only had two 91mm models for sale - will review again some time! :)

They seem to vary how they display them store to store. I have three Bunnings within less than 5K. One displays them basically with the screwdrivers, one is behind the tool counter, the other is a comination, and in at least three different places over the place in store.
