Works for me! But I saw "Haul Ass" as soon as it loaded and took the advice! :o

Too manly for me, I think. :D

hey thats a middle cabinet though.

I use a top Cabinet, and the top flip part has all my stones, and oils and greese for the lights.

Yeah - you're right!

When I bought it, I wanted the drawer space, the intention is to add either a bottom roller-cabinet, or a top cabinet next, and eventually both :D

Also, you'll notice that the middle "step-up" cabinet I got is a LOT cheaper than the other bits!

I used to come here a lot.

I used to get into my fathers guns all the time! starting at around 7! (before I didn't care).
I remember being careful and checking to see if they were loaded (they always were) and
discharging the ammo.

but still, I got into it! and my father would have killed me if he knew but I didn't care, it was
too cool! >:D

When I get home I'm switching my multi collection to a locking stainless steel tool box. It has about four drawers which is enough space for now. I might bolt it down as I would hate for it to walk away. I keep my really expensive knives in a large safe. My favorite knife is in there which is a Terry Guinn ring fighter. I was so lucky to get that knife. I would sell my entire collection before I let that go. I talked to Terry and even he doesn't know if he will make anymore ring fighters.

Here it is:

DaveK had a similar thing and I do like that idea.

I find it works really well for me - and it does have a lock, so might do you Ben. They come in lots of different drawer configurations too. All the stuff you can see in this pic fits in there comfortably with enough space for at least another 10 full size MTs.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e10/DaveK-ToolPics/collection2008092103.jpg

I paid about £40 for that one, and stuck to a name that's well known, so if/when I want to add to it, I'll be able to find what I need.

I got it from these guys (collected from local branch). Have a surf around here http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/ctc103-3-draw-step-up-chest/path/clarke-professional-tool-chest-range .

Thanks for the link Dave.  I think that's the way I am going to have to go.  I like the way it can be expanded as well.  I know my collection isn't the largest, but who knows how large it will get in the future.  :D

It's been a while, but next month I am going to get some decent storage so have been looking into it more deeply.  I have found the kinda thing that I want, but really it's too wide http://www.toolbox.co.uk/draper-2-drawer-intermediate-3851-68752 .

Has anyone seen anything similar which is about 460/480mm wide?  That is over 600mm  and won't fit where I need it to.

I've already got a home for that one.  ;)

This one needs to be about a tenth of the size.  :D

I certainly think so.  My collection is at a good size for it as it fills it nicely, but with a shuffle around loads more can fit in there.  It's a solid thing too.

It'll be real handy for the meet.  :tu:  Saves me squeezing everything into a bag like I did last year.

Nope.  It's upstairs though and once full is pretty heavy.  I would expect a lot of other things to go walkies before that did if I was burgled.

As a guide - I got 32 x 4" Leatherman Tools and 4 x 4.5" in one drawer on mine. I had to reshuffle the other day though - the PSTs have a drawer of their own :D

I use a Snap On mechanics roller cabinet ( bolted to bottom chest , and with handles and wheels removed ) as a man's toy box/safe . It contains less sensitive stuff , but is hard to remove ( weighs over 600lbs ) , no wheels or handles . More sensitive stuff lives in two gun safes . Anyone who comes to steal/tamper with anything , better pack a lunch !
