Fun fact: In December of 1956, as part of a publicity stunt, several Wyler watches were thrown from the Eiffel Tower, which was a 300 meter drop to showcase the durability of their watches. Apparently, they were all working perfectly afterwards.

...they seemed to enjoy dropping their watches from great heights for publicity...they used the Seattle Tower in 1962 for a similar stunt...
