Thank you, W!

I had meant to post a photo of the movement. The part that sets Omegas apart from other watches.  :)
I just love to see the inner workings

Oh this so sucks, I want a new watch with specific details and the only one that for-fill them is that citizen, but then there’s others that I like but they don’t have all the details :dunno:

TOTALLY!
This one is better this way, but this one has this, but OMG this is sooo cool! The wife hates it, especially when I’m at it for days, cause I’ll even start writing things down and make a grid to lay everything out so I can see which one fits out the best

All automatic, but, only two have everything I’m after,
Auto,
All number(1-12) hr markers,
Both day & date,
And 5-55 marks,
The others are just really nice!

The strap really takes that Timex to the next level. :like:

I've always felt, that the band choice is almost as important to a watch, as the watch itself. If the Timex had an old twist-o-flex, it wouldn't look very good. :ahhh

Definitely agree! Though, I'm not sure that a twist o flex looks good on anything

This timex originally came with a leather nato style band. Not great quality leather, but not bad and it looked good. I swapped it straight away  because I don't like nato style straps.

I know natos are nice in that you won't loose a watch if a spring bar fails, but I've always been a little paranoid that I would catch the strap on something and it wouldn't break before doing serious damage to my wrist or arm.

I guess injuring your arm with a nato band  depends on the material quality. :)

My personal take on two piece straps is this:
I take care to use beefy spring bars and add some CA thin to the glued areas if they don't look right(particularly the fold over that the spring bar goes through). But, I've found checking the strap integrity periodically helps prevent the watch from coming apart. :)

Treated myself to something fun today. Bought and worn today. Casio DataBank CA-53W. This thing screams 1980s and for <$20, it is a great deal. OG calculator watches are going for too much.
I know..I know....I needed another watch like a lead backpack.

At least on that model, the keyboard cover shouldn't disintegrate with time.  :hatsoff:

Casio used reverse printed acrylic on the CA-53A. A nice touch to ensure it holds up. Like you said, it shouldn't disintegrate like the older models. :)
