Glad the bits came in  Before parting with them I still think I would hold on to them for a while just in case you lose a bit out of the Skeley (has happened to me at least once) Then you would have a replacement for it even if it wasn't what came with it originally :tu: Plus some of those bits have came in really handy for me at home   Saved me a trip outside to search for the right driver or bit more than once, several times actually :D

Does anyone know anything about the original coloured Skeletool releases. Was it just 5 colours?

I think the colours were:

Red
Blue
Yellow
Orange
Green

We're these actually done by Leatherman or was it Texas Tool Crafters?

I've just quite unbelievably managed to complete the original set thanks to members here on the forum.
I'm certain TTC  were responsible for the recent colour releases, but not so sure as to the original 5

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

I can add a bit of info from the ones I have that I believe are the original LM issued coloured Skeletools.  Like you, I haven't seen any other original colours.

These first 3 are in the original LM plastic on cardboard packaging and therefore I'm pretty sure they are an official LM release, rather than an aftermarket mod (eg TTC), but that doesn't mean the handles weren't coloured for LM by an outside supplier.  From what I've seen in photos on ebay the coloured coating is easily chipped.
(NB the # Id is just my internal identifier for my spreadsheet):

#16L:    Sticker: "831374 Skeletool Lava Red   For USA sale only".  Package marked "Exclusively at REI". This is a fairly dark red.

#1065:  Sticker: "831478 Skeletool Ocean Blue  Made in USA".  Package marked "Limited Edition Colour". This is a fairly dark blue.

#14K:    Sticker: "831479 Skeletool Flame Orange  Made in USA".  Package marked "Limited Edition Colour".

The others came loose, so no packaging and no model No. info

I do have two different Dark Green variants, #875 has "1961   Cabela's    2011, 50th ANNIVERSARY" etched on the blade and emboidered on the nylon sheath, the blade on the other one (#787) is not marked.

Looking closely at the recently released "new" Skeletool colours I have (#1261 "Sublime" - Light green, and #1262 "Denim" - Dark Grey/Blue) I would venture the opinion they have not been coloured by the same process used by TTC as the coloured finish is quite different to the "ceramic" coating on the Skeletools I have purchased direct from TTC.  It looks very similar to the finish on the originals I have.

I also have a "Leupold Green" Skeletool in the pipeline, but can't comment in any detail until it arrives in Oz.
