Howdo from the U.K.
on: November 21, 2016, 04:06:49 PM
Hi all, I'm in the U.K.For years I have persevered with a small aerial key from a Ford Fiesta, which I have used as a screwdriver, box cutter, mini prybar and scraper. I used to think " If only someone would make a little thingy that I could keep on my keys..."

Then I discovered I'd been living under a rock for decades.  :D

Because of U.K. laws and the public facing nature of my job, I don't edc a blade, but do have Alox Farmer, Dime and Clutch. However, I'm firmly in the keychain carrying ranks.

I've also a background in engineering, so I'm not adverse to a little diy toolmaking.

Greetings and Welcome.  Where theres a will theres a way,  I never understood that saying as a kid.  As I got older and began to figure things out that saying hit me like a ton of bricks.  Being limited is a state of mind and while it may not be legally permissible to carry certain items around the world theres certainly no shortage of options.

Good to have you aboard.

Over the years I've become something of the consummate bodge artist. 8) Many a bent paper clip or piece of tape has got me out of trouble. That being said, there's nothing like having the correct tool for the job.

I've just been doodling something that I may make for my keychain. Sort of dogtag sized cutter.

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Welcome to the forum!

I am sure you will get lots of input on any design you come up with, whether you like it or not!  :D

Glad to see another UK member here- sooner or later we are going to have enough UK members to start a serious lobby!  UK Meetups are going to start to look like Burning Man in the US!  :D
