Can't believe there isn't one already, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

The SI has always been a part of my rotation (every Wednesday for the past few years for some strange reason  )but it wasn't until I EDC'd it for a full month during Hiraethus' excellent Minimalist Challenge that I really appreciated this beautifully simple and robust knife. From the sturdy and well designed and proportioned  tools (in-line awl  :salute: ) to the inclusion of the hollow rivet (allowing a simple solution to those who want a lanyard and those who don't), all wrapped in those magnificent alox scales.

It has now become one of my absolute favourite stock SAK's.

If you feel like me and own and appreciate the SI (even the name is great!) join the club!

SI, We salute you!

I'm in. Usually no scissors is a deal breaker for me. It's the main reason I could never get on with my pioneer and cadet. The SI is different though. Can't explain it. Technically mine is a Swiss Army 70 though.  :)

Very long time SI user here. Got my first one twenty years ago, and used the heck out of it for 10 years before it was stollen. The replacement is a 2004 model and is my dirty work go-to knife if I think the tinker may be too nice to mess up. The SI just shrugs off whatever is thrown at it.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

Awesome SAK and pics everyone... :like:

I've always thought of SI being referred to the civilian version of the Soldat... But SAKWiki, says otherwise... which has me now confused... It would be a civilian version if it had a bail?

Only have one in my possession and doesn't have a hollow-rivet and bail... hopefully some day...

There's a good chance it's issue if it's bail-less. (yeah I don't know if that's a word either)

I have two Standard Issues, an 04 buried in my knife box, and a more recent, unmarked one, which lives in my tool bag. The bail on the new one is floppy; anyone else suffer this malady, or recommend a quick fix?

I made one out of a brass rod (that was meant to become 84mm SAK pins...) as a proof of concept:

I'm curious about this also. I only have one and nothing to compare it to. Are they suppose to be "floppy"?
