The ultimate MULTI SCISSOR

I came across these in a thrift store and paid very little for them - I'm assuming they are quite cheap when new but maybe they are a high value item



Note the attractive pink handles.



Going from the tips to the back of the handle I see these tools:
- screw driver
- bottle opener
- nut wrench
- fish scaler? - it's a bit short but perhaps for small fish
- scissors - they cut quite well actually - light cloth, heavy paper and paracord were like butter to them.
- knife - if taken apart
- some type of wrench in between the handles
- some type of wire cutter or crimper - two of these
- brass (plastic) knuckles if taken apart

The tool has a tradename "Evriholder" on them.  The handles are held on quite well with two rivets each and all in all it's not a badly made tool.

I think this is the first time I've seen multi scissors, I didn't even know they were a thing! The closest I've had is one with the "wrench between the handles" but normal scissors otherwise.

I can remember it being very useful for removing tight lids from soda bottles and the like.

I always assumed that "wrench" was a nutcracker

Chrono - I believe I paid $1 - Canadian - the northern peso - so quite inexpensive.

Etherealicer - the buck Splizzers are very nice looking.  Another one for my list.

50ft-trad - I like the look of the CRKT shears also - so many tools and so limited a budget 

Damsel and sLaughterMed - not sure if these would work as a nut cracker - likely would.  They don't open wide enough for jar lids but might work on bottle tops and the like.

Probably more practical than wrenching with those stupid keychain sized multi wrenches that were all the rage a few years back among us pocket tool people.

I have several pairs of these scissors around, and they've turned out to be good, cheap, utility scissors. Posted about them a while back. I think Walmart sells them in camping supplies under the Coleman brand for about $5. Same basic pattern and functionality, but the dies used look updated to stamp a little cleaner and slightly different on the finer details, such as the teeth on the scaler.

I've found some similar, also pretty good, multi scissors at my local Chinatown, and also online via several direct from China sources. Mine were branded "Rimei", but I've seen them packed under other mystery names. Less full featured than the Evriholder/Coleman/Carolina version, but with an added potato peeler type function (the slit in one of the blades) that works OK in a pinch.

Kaput - I doubt that practicality has much to do with it.  It seems that such items are designed to include as many features as possible with no real idea about how they will be used.  I do note that they missed having an LED and a corkscrew on this

Shecky - I originally planned on giving these back to the thrift store once I'd taken a few photos and tested them for the purposes of the forum.  However the scissors are quite good and will be kept for that reason.

   I have not used this much, but the scissors on it work real well. It is a full sized tool, and the other tools are not too shabby either!

I think that wrench thing is for unscrewing a stubborn jar lid. The scissors handles give a little leverage as far as clamping onto the lid.
