I can't seem to find a Rev Owners Club.
Anyway, I have just purchased a Rev for my collection. I will try it out and assess its usability.

Yes, the REV can be a donor tool for your next creation.

I carried my REV all day Saturday as I was at and around the home front.   The pliers and wire cutter do a nice job for my needs along with the plain edge blade.  It was accompanied by my Micra and a Orange SAK Pioneer.   The pocket clip is first rate and kept the tool secured to front jean pocket.

Be careful, its bigger brothers, Wingman and Sidekick may be finding a way to sneak into your collection.  Or a uncle Rebar or Wave.  It never stops with ONLY one.

All the best!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Well then, I will be very interested in your assessment of the Rev after you had a chance to get acquainted.

Have a great week!

Hello everyone, I've been lurking a while in MT.O and finally got the courage to post; Moderators, if I'm out of place feel free to correct me and modify as needed. This is my rendition of the not-so-loved LM, the Rev. First mod was to reduce handle splay: now it's just like the Wave's or PST II's. Next was reprofiling the file's flat driver to fit my eyeglasses and to thin out the flat driver as to fit household bolts and screws (switch plates; window screen holders). At the same time a SS screw was added to the blade's nail nick, making it OHO (albeit I have to open it right-handed and switch hand...I'm a lefty!!). Finally, the chassis was acid and stone washed, and post heads and clip were polished. For such a cheap price, I now have a very good minimalist edc multitool that I'm happy to use without worries. Hope you might like it. Critiques welcome! Thanks for the inspiration; you people are A+!

Sorry for the crappy pictures, and picture-splitting; I'm somewhat "technology-challenged"!

Nice job on the Rev mods, Juan!
I like the Rev myself, but others prefer the Wingman and Sidekick. The Rev plier head is better in my opinion. It has a lot of good stuff about it.

BTW, welcome to MT.o! :tu:

Thanks Gerleatherberman (did I got it right!?) For your compliment!!  The Rev pliers are my everyday go to pliers; I really like the precision of the tip's bite, and are not as needle nose as the PST II or Wave's. BTW, you are one of "my motivators" to collect and modify mt's. Thank you!

You're quite welcome, sir!
Most people just write g-man or GLBM, but anything is fine. Thank you for the effort. :salute:

I love the Rev pliers, partly because they don't have that internal spring in the pivot(that weakens them). My wingman developed play in the jaws rather quickly when I carried it. The Rev pliers are still tight. :)

Thank you for the compliment, but you may want to talk about my inadvertent motivating later, after you have MTs and knives laying all over your home. :D

Bienvenido Juan!!!

I also like the Rev's pliers over the Wignman/Sidekick ones,
andd it seems that you improved most of the  :P things that this tool has, so in essence you Revolutionised the Rev:like:

Enjoy your stay here, and what a nice way to join us!

Gracias, Peacent!  :tu: Like you've all said, one of the best features is the springless pliers head...the others been quality (it's all 420 SS  as many other blades/components from LM), affordability, ease of modification and ... warranty  . BTW, really liking your collection, modifications and pictures ¡una caña a vuestro nombre!

Thank you, Sam, since you were the one that gave me the validation to do it! As I read your mod in the S/W post, I thought it would be really easy with the Dremel without taking it apart (just to do that two weeks later for the acid wash!!); the only thing different being that I took 1mm from each stop. Thanks for your "tests" on multitools and your challenges, as they are very informative...although I don't think I'll put my Rev through the nail test!
