(With apologies to Walt Whitman.....)

Been thinking about the thread a for little while and a statement by Padre over in another thread prompted me to go ahead.

They are called odd, cool, ridiculous and sometimes indispensable but they are certainly fascinating, so lets see your SAKs that have features that run on batteries!

That last one is gorgeous! I love it. Definitely wouldn't want to use it though, I'd be worried about scratching the face.

Thank you Damsel!!   It was used when I got it so I carried it today in it's case but will rarely carry it for the reason you mentioned!  :salute:

Thank you Irona, I've looked for one for a very long time....a buddy contacted me last month and gave me the good news that he had one for me.  :D

Congrats! I saw one on ebay a while ago that was going in a lot of 3 (for pretty low if I remember correctly), but I just couldn't justify it as the knife would inevitably become a shelf queen, and I try my best to avoid that happening to any of my knives.

Is that a Mountaineer Lite with a Huntsman Lite instruction manual?

It's pretty whatever it is.

I've got that same ruby scales Spartan Lite.

It has the thicker main blade...so its probably old enough that it has the "not as bright" LED in it but I'm not sure.

I use Renata brand batteries since they're Swiss made. 8)

Yep, that's what came with it. And even after ordering it and staring at the box, I still called it a Huntsman Lite in a post....Kirky had to point it out to me...

This is a great thread and perhaps an ok place to ask if anybody has tried modding the IL LED module with a brighter LED??
