Those pop up on the bay every once in a while. Neat combo for a outdoorsman. Good examples tend to get pricy at times.       :)

The big question is it headed to your place Steve?

No, I've got my eye on a couple other things. I just thought it was cool and maybe someone here would want it   :pok:

I've always wanted one of those since I first saw one but they were always out of my price range. They are the civilian version of the WWII raft knife that was made by Colonial Knife Co and United of Grand Rapids Michigan. I have both of those.

Just took these out to re-photograph them in the open position and discovered something. The Colonial versions have two different saw blades in them. When I got the first one I thought the saw blade had the tip broken off and someone had re-ground it so they could still open it.However I noticed on the other one that is longer and the tip protrudes slightly over the end that the blade is sunk down into the handle whereas the "broken" one sits quite a bit higher in the handle when closed. I think it was actually made that way. The United Cutlery one also protrudes from the end.

No I never did Steve.  Maybe someday one will come along. I haven't been buying knives lately and have been working to start downsizing my accumulation. Haven't counted lately but probably have close to 3000 pieces.
