And just think; with the money you save you could by a whistle, ferro rod and diamond sharpener. I've only played with a Signal in a shop for a few minutes but my impressions were pretty good, but I don't remember it nearly well enough to compare it to my Sidekick.
There we go, problem solved.

I have/had both, Sidekick hook me into Leatherman and Signal unhooks it.
I'm curious how the saws compare, similar lengths etc?
Yup, Signal is pretty much worthless in my book.
G'Day,The Signal is one of my favourite Leathermans. I had a Wingman for a week or two and could not bond with it. I think it is a good entry level tool, but IMHO the Signal is a much better one - For My Needs. I spent a month EDC-ing the Signal and that pretty much settled it as one of my favourites. Price aside - I like it!!!Pete
Pete you need mods it
How bad can the Signal be to lose out against the Sidekick?Excluding the removable implements, the Signal has a hammer, awl, bit driver, and replaceable wire cutters, compared to the terrible anvil cutters of the Sidekick. What does the Sidekick have going for it apart from the tiny file/ruler?
