I don't own a SAK yet that has that file material on the backside of the parcel hook.Would it work for a finger nail file or is it for starting fires? Or other purpose?
I wanted the hook on my Greenwood to be a nail file hook. I tried to use optimum parts when I did the mod: Thicker tang main blade, key ring spring, old style grey mag and longer philips, plus scales, and I wanted the hook too but it's a rare beast isn't it?
But then you're talking at least £30 for the DoE just for the hook It should be standard on the hook

Thanks all for the replies, but what is DoE?

I've seen someone mentioned this in this forum... Tried it out... holds true
Well they'll be stronger, but that's what the alox SAKs are for, with the cellidor ones I want lots of tools!

I'm going to be making the perfect (for me) Yeoman variant with cellidor! Just trying to figure out which tools I have to buy to have it made. It'll have a wood saw though, that's for certain!
If u get a used compact, parcel hook shouldn't be an issueSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm getting closer to figuring out my perfect knife! It'll be a Yeoman with red Cellidor. It'll have the front scale from my spare Camper (love that front scale), it will have the back plus scale. Obviously it will have a wood saw (my favorite tool I never use). I just have to figure out how to get a finger nail file included.

Yeoman with saw is essentially the compact version of the woodsman... 5 layersSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Your comment made me go back to the SakWiki. You are correct. I was looking at the Woodsman in the 4 layer category, but when I clicked on the word "Woodsman" I didn't realize it was bringing up a "Huntsman".So if I have a Yeoman made with a saw it will be 4 layers. If I buy the Woodsman new it is 5 layers. Although I'd prefer 4 layers.....I might just go 5 and have the full Victorinox warranty.

Thank you Oxford and magentus, I did find the Woodsman from the seller in Quebec.I have two in route, one to use, one to keep. I decided on standard red instead of ruby red. The ruby red is beautiful I must admit, but I'm partial to the standard red.
