deceptive flashlight listings
on: December 18, 2016, 12:14:23 AM
Ever click on a light that has a good price on ebay, only to see that there is a dropdown to select for a different model? for instance saw this one and now im getting emails from ebay about it cause I viewed it

Looked at Jetbeam 2 pro, cause in the listings it said $19,95, great price right? wrong, seller has 2 models listed and that price is for jetbeam 1, which is a good light on its own, but that is even overpriced, than you hit the dropdown and see the jetbeam 2 is $80. this is really annoying, wish they would address this as its a bad form of bait and switch.

they do it with everything, so that they get a high listing when you select low price for sorting.
Usually they add a very cheap product, eg a box, to make their prices start low. From 1 euro to 100....

I just ignore these listings, and go to the 1st one with a realistic starting price.
