ok ok MAYBE the CT 34...

when I think I "urban edc" I think minimal...  but I guess Batman lives in a city... and his EDC selection is pretty chunky too...

Given the options available I voted none of them, way too chunky, for pocket carry at least.
For me a small Tinker or Tourist paired with a classic on my keys is all I need for that purpose

Not sure if anyone got the memo but the Swiss Army gods already issued their statement on this...

It was the Compact...  duh.

+1

Depending on the day's dress code which drives activities:
  • Suit = choice of Manager or Rambler
  • Bus Casual/Slacks = choice of Compact or Cadet
  • Jeans or Shorts = choice of Compact, SuperTinker, or Yeoman

El Similar Paradigm!!!

I just go Pioneer or Soldier instead of the Cadet, and the Climber + instead of the SuperTinker.   El Yeoman just hangs around for now with some other Magnifs.

It's all good...everybody has their own likes/dislikes which influence their choices. When wearing slacks/Bus Casual, the Pioneer/Soldier is just a bit too bulky for me, so I usually go w/ a Cadet. Unless of course I'm going somewhere that might require opening wine, in which case the Compact/Golfer gets carried. Same holds true for the SuperTinker vs the Climber.

I don't like carrying the 58's on keychains to "pair up" because so many places now don't allow you to through metal detectors, etc. When I "pair-up" it's usually for outdoor activities, the SAK is paired w/ a MUT in a belt pouch. Occasionally on weekends I'll only carry a Leatherman S2 or KF4 in a horizontal belt pouch...but it's always backed up by a SAK in the car glovebox.

My vote goes to the compact.

Though in practice, I have a minichamp lite dangling beside my ID on my retractable lanyard.

There's also minichamp lite on a separate bunch of keys that's used on non-office days.
